The Los Cerritos Wetlands offer a rare opportunity to restore tidal wetlands in the heart of the Los Angeles Basin, offering a refuge for wildlife and people. If our generation does not meet this challenge, future generations will not have the opportunity, as development will continue to encroach on these precious parcels of land.

Our political muscle is directly proportional to our numbers and an informed community.
Your donation supports our ongoing and future outreach and communication efforts.

Join us at our bi-monthly meetings the last Tuesday of alternate months, from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. (check News & Events page for dates). We meet in the Community Center at Belmont Shores Mobile Estates. Located on Loynes Drive between PCH and Studebaker Avenue. WE NEED SUSTAINERS

If you have more money than time, please send us your tax deductible donation of $100 or more using the methods described above. Sustainers donating over $500 will receive a personal tour of the wetlands aboard Le Bateau du Audubon with naturalist Tim Anderson or commemorative artwork.

Your tax deductible check, made payable to Los Cerritos Wetlands Land Trust for Long Beach and Seal Beach, with a memo for Legal Fund, will help pay for the legal defense of the Los Cerritos Wetlands.

I've taken rest in the tranquility
I've been taking my comfort
Taking in the beauty
I've been taking pictures -

But the wild places
Are being bulldozed, drilled and dredged
Dammed up, paved over and clear cut.
For many years all I could do

Was take out my check book …
Here, oh dedicated and hardworking faceless ones,
Take my money and now protect
What I love so dearly.

Take over my responsibility
To GIVE
My time, my energy, my inner resources
I've been taking in the blessings of the natural world

For so long
I've been taken in BY the natural world
Recruited, it seems
